FLOWER CARE GUIDE

Follow the tips & steps below for your flowers to last as long as possible

Bouquet Care

  1. Unwrap your bouquet from paper/fabric and ribbon.

  2. Using a pair of sharp scissors or sheers, cut about an inch off the bottom stems of the flowers.

  3. Fill a clean vase with room temperature water about 3/4 of the way and place flowers in a vase. Flowers drink a lot of water so make sure to also keep the water level high. Add flower food in this step if you’d like.

  4. It is really important there are no leaves under the water line. Leaves in the water will cause bacteria to grow much faster. Flowers are very sensitive to any bacteria in the water. Remove any leaves that fall below the water line.

  5. For best results, refresh the vase water daily. If you’re not able to do it daily, refresh your vase water at least every 2-3 days.

  6. Keep flowers away from drafts, hot places, and ripening fruit.

Arrangement Care

  1. Keep your flowers hydrated! Simply add water to your vase as the flowers drink it up.

  2. Completely change the water in your arrangement every 2 - 3 days. The easiest way to do this with an already assembled arrangement is to flush out the old water by running the vase water under the faucet.

  3. Your arrangement does not come with flower food in it. Add flower food in this step if you’d like by adding to lukewarm water and pouring it into the vase after you have drained the arrangement first.

  4. Keep flowers away from any drafts, hot places, and ripening fruit.

DIY Flower Food (without using bleach)

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon of granulated white sugar

Directions:

Add both vinegar and sugar to the water in the plant vase and stir. Add your flowers. The vinegar will kill the bacteria and fungi so your flowers will thrive.
